Cavalcade - 1933

Diana Wynyard was honored with a footprints ceremony at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Los Angeles, in connection with this film.

The play opened in London on 6 September 1931 and had 405 performances. Una O'Connor, Irene Browne and Merle Tottenham originated their movie roles in the play.

Noel Coward was paid $100,000 for the rights to the play and the songs he wrote for the play.
Cavalcade won the Academy Award for Best Picture, Frank Lloyd won the Academy Award for Best Director, and the Academy Award for Best Art Direction went to William S. Darling. Diana Wynyard was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress but lost to Katharine Hepburn for Morning Glory.
